(back)... I spent a couple of years
attending church, growing in God, however the issue of commitment to
God was not settled within me. I went  off and did my own thing, still
calling myself a Christian but not really being the greatest
representative for Christ. Life brought me to a crossroad where all the
people that I loved had failed me.God was calling me to come back to Him again. But I felt dirty and a wreck but I knew that I had to ‘come home.’ I could not count on my family. My life was filled with dancing and being consumed with having the body of a dancer. I was insecure in who I was and placed my identity in the things I was good at. This had gotten me nowhere very fast. It was all or nothing this time and I am so glad I chose to run to God! I wanted to count and wanted to ‘matter’ to God. I have learned so much from the Bible and from listening to leaders in the Church ‘pouring out’ what they had learned by spending time with God. Life is so much more than just about me and my world. A life and journey with God is the most satisfying, intimate relationship you will ever have. God’s wonderful, loving and gracious values working in your life change the way you see the world and people. There is nothing more rewarding than watching God change people that you never thought could change. I am one of them |
